Obituary
Charles Edward “Eddie” Hogg, age 91, of Portland passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, in Albany Heathcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Portland on May 12, 1930, the son of Charles E. and Mable (Wilkinson) Hogg. He was married on June 30, 1963, to Florence Thomas and she passed away on May 9, 1990.
Eddie had worked at Jay Garment. He was a 1948 Saratoga High School graduate, member of Bluff Point Friends Church where he played the piano and organ. He also would travel to nursing homes playing the piano for the residents.
Surviving are one son Tom Hogg (wife: Lisa) of Portland; one sister, Mary Lou Maddox of Portland; and three grandchildren, Tabitha, Mickinzie and Tommy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Kay; two brothers, John Hogg and Robert Hogg; and two sisters, Rose Wolford and Lydia Tingley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Harris presiding. Burial will follow in the Weimer Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
