Obituary
Roger Renz, age 59, of Nappanee, Indiana, died on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at 5:47 p.m. at Goshen Hospital after an illness.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1962, to Ronald and Sharon (Parmley) Renz in LaPorte, Indiana. Roger grew up in North Liberty, and moved back to Nappanee, Indiana, in June from Portland, Indiana. He graduated from Riley High School and on June 6, 1992, Roger married Jamiee Weldy in Middlebury, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, painting and ceramics, and loved playing Santa Claus at Christmas time.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jamiee; daughter, Grace Renz of Portland, Indiana; son, Aaron Renz of Nappanee, Indiana; and sisters, Trina Martins and Terry Peterson of North Liberty, Indiana.
Roger was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Michael Renz; and a sister, Kimberly Renz.
The family will meet friends from 10 to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, followed by a Celebration of Life service at the First Baptist Church of North Liberty, 407 W. Elm Street, North Liberty, with Pastor Wayne Joyner officiating.
Memorial contributions can be given to Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.
