Obituary
Thomas Lamont Arbuckle, 67, of Portland, Indiana, formerly of Redkey, Indiana, passed away Oct. 6, 2021, peacefully while in the company of family members at his residence.
Tom was born in Portland, Indiana, on April 17, 1954, a son of the late Patricia (Geesman) and Hubert L. Arbuckle. He was a 1972 graduate of Redkey High School and was formerly employed by GM, Norfolk & Western and Dry Dock Marina. He was a former member of the Redkey American Legion, and enjoyed poker, fishing, camping, hunting, watching Westerns, wrestling, fishing channels, listening to country music, collecting coins, going to auctions, trips to Canada and Tennessee and, above all else, spending time with his family, friends and his two dogs, Junior and Shorty.
Tom is survived by his son, Adam Arbuckle (wife: Amber); daughter Faith Arbuckle; two brothers, Doug Arbuckle (wife: Sherri) and David Arbuckle; sister Karla Ruble; three grandchildren, Kya Staton, Isabel Arbuckle and Kaley Hesher; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert (Cap) and Patricia (Pat) Arbuckle.
Friends are invited to call Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, from 3 to 5 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel. Services will follow at 5 p.m. with Faith Arbuckle officiating. Internment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jay County Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
