Jay Community Center is getting crafty.
The community center will host a wine and craft event from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for senior citizens. Admission includes craft supplies, two glasses of wine and hor d’oeuvres.
Participants must register for the event by Oct. 29.
Symphony scheduled
Muncie Symphony Orchestra will perform a live accompaniment to “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horrors” at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 as part of Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ “Historically Haunted October Series.”
“Nosferatu” is a 1922 silent film that closely mirrors Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”

Arts Place’s Blackford County Arts Center is hosting the exhibit “Splinters and Threads” by woodworker Mark Twigg and weaver Sherry Studebaker. Twigg is a Portland native.
The exhibit, which runs through Oct. 21, is open from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Blackford County Arts Center is at 107 W. Washington St., Hartford City.
