Joyce L. Carlin, age 67, of rural Ridgeville passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at her residence.
She was born on April 4, 1954, the daughter of Erwin and Virginia (Baumgardner) Baker. She was married on Dec. 7, 1974, to Laurence “Yogi” Carlin and he passed away on Feb. 22, 2015.
Joyce worked for 30 years for Union City Body Company (Workhorse) and five years at Jay County Hospital. She was a 1972 Ansonia High School graduate.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Carlin (wife: Ashley) of Ridgeville and Robbie Carlin (wife: Ashley) of Pennville; one daughter, Amy Horman (husband: Jeremy) of Winchester; stepson Robert Carlin of Pennville; stepdaughter Lisa Sullivan (husband: Danny) of Albany; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary; and a grandson, Matthew.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gates presiding. Burial will follow in the Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday.
