Dull to speak about book Thursday

A local author will be speaking Thursday.
Jay County Public Library will host author Stephen Dull from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room.
Dull will speak about his book, “Never a Dull Moment.” His talk will include stories about his adventures in different countries as well as his parents’ missionary work that led him to traveling. He will also show artifacts, answer questions and give away signed copies of his book.
The library is also hosting Murder Mystery Mondays on Oct. 18 and 25, with mystery kits available for patrons to check out. There will also be true crime quizzes, and at 6 p.m. Oct. 25 there will be a murder and mystery movie event with the showing of a true crime documentary.
Exhibit open
“Open Space: Art About the Land” opened Friday at Minnetrista in Muncie.
The exhibit encourages Indiana artists to take creative inspiration from the land. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and will run through Nov. 7.

Internships available
Applications are open to serve as an intern at the Indiana Statehouse.
The Republican and Democratic parties in Indiana are accepting applications for internships for the 2022 legislative session. The internships are open to current college students and recent college graduates.
Those interested can apply online at indianahouserepublicans.com and indianahousedemocrats.org. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.
