Obituary
Mike Kreps Jr., age 54, a resident of Dunkirk passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Mike was born Jan. 8, 1967, in Hartford City, Indiana, the son of Mick and Charlotte (Green) Kreps. Mike graduated from Maxville Christian School 1985 and then graduated from Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1992.
Mike married Eva Willard on Aug. 10, 1992. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, volunteered for the Dunkirk Fire Department, retired from Dunkirk Police Department in 2016 and was the Dunkirk street department superintendent.
Mike was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Dunkirk American Legion Post 227.

Wife — Eva Kreps, Dunkirk, Indiana
Son — Sam Kreps (wife: Ashley), Columbus, Ohio
Daughter — Sydney Kreps, Albany, Indiana
Parents — Mick and Charlotte Kreps, Dunkirk, Indiana
Brother — Cecil Kreps, Dunkirk, Indiana
Grandchildren — Kimber and Liam
Grandmother — Mildred Green, Millgrove, Indiana
Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland with services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana, with Pastor Aaron Smith to officiate the services. Dunkirk American Legion Post 227 will conduct military graveside rites.
Memorials may be directed to the Museum of the Soldier.
