Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Collins, 87, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1934, in Frankfort, Kentucky, to the late Carey and Thelma (Mathews) Sheets.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sons, Marty Collins, Scott Collins and Mathew Dwayne Collins; her siblings, Don Sheets and Sally (Charles) Brown; her sister-in-law, Linda Sheets; and her former spouse, Maurice Collins.
Elizabeth was a 1952 graduate of Bald Knob High School in Frankfort, Kentucky. She worked at the Coldwater Community Hospital as a ward secretary until her retirement.
Elizabeth spent decades with her friends attending weekly home Bible studies. She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Christ Chapel in Fort Recovery.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Dr. Michael (Debra) Collins of New London, Ohio, Doug Collins of Fort Recovery and Charley (Amy) Collins of Toledo, Ohio; her daughters-in-law, Josette Collins, Sharon Collins and Lori Collins; her 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; her sibling, Ron Sheets of Frankfort, Kentucky; and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Sheets.
A celebration of Elizabeth's life will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
Guests may visit with her family on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christ Chapel, 105 S. Elm St., Fort Recovery, OH 45846.
