Last week vs. Adams Central: Adams Central had two pick-6s, a punt return touchdown and a kickoff return TD in handing Jay County a 54-7 loss. The Patriots broke the shutout with a Quinn?Faulkner 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Season leaders: Passing — Sam Dunlavy – 22-of-46 for 307 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. Rushing — Quinn?Faulkner – 56 carries for 510 yards and eight touchdowns. Receiving — Quinn?Faulkner – nine catches for 99 yards and one touchdown. Defense — Qadon Ferrell – 42 tackle and one tackle for loss.

Last week at Woodlan: Bluffton wasn’t able to overcome its 19-13 deficit at halftime in a 32-19 conference loss to Woodlan. It was the second consecutive seback for the Tigers in ACAC?play.

Season leaders (through three games): Passing — Lukas Hunt – 32-of-47 passing for 505 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Rushing — Lukas Hunt – 40 carries for 225 yards and one touchdown. Receiving — Alec Reiff – 17 catches for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Defense — John Ringger – 25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.



Last season: Jay County had four drives stall in the Bluffton red zone during a 48-7 loss to the Tigers. The Patriots’ Bailey Cox rushed for a season-high 184 yards on 26 carries, and Caleb Hale scored on a 29-yard touchdown run. Bluffton’s Hayden Nern had seven total TDs, including six through the air.

Game notes: This is the 10th meeting all time between Jay County and Bluffton. The Patriots have a 5-4 edge in the series despite losing four straight to the Tigers, including a 63-62 loss in 2018 that was the highest combined points in school history ... Jay County will be celebrating its homecoming, so the game will start at 7:30 p.m. ... Former Jay County football coach Tim Millspaugh, who still teaches at JCHS, is a defensive line coach for Bluffton ...
