The home team came up short when the game was moved to allow for penalty kicks.
Jay County High School’s boys soccer team fell to the Heritage Patriots on Tuesday, 0-0 (4-2 PK).
The loss prevented a three-game winning streak for Jay County (5-4-1, 1-1 Allen County Athletic Conference).
After 80 minutes of scoreless action, Jay County and Heritage went into two, seven-minute periods of extra time.
A winner still wasn’t decided.
With darkness creeping in, a goal was moved to Harold E. Schutz Memorial Stadium so PKs could be contested under the lights.
Cristian Marentes and Gavin Mulenkamp had the PK goals for Jay County.
On Saturday, Jay County defeated the host Centerville Bulldogs, 3-1.
Levi Muhlenkamp, Dylan Marentes and Carter Link each scored for the Patriots.
Tribe falls to ’Dogs
CELINA, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s boys golf team lost to the Celina Bulldogs on Monday, 179-185, at Celina Lynx Golf Club.
The setback drops the Indians to 3-10 on the year.
Isaac LeFevre and Carson Siefring both had 43 to lead the Indians. Cole Muhlenkamp shot 46, and Keegan Muhlenkamp completed the team score with his round of 53.
Zander Kunkler (54) and Reece Evers (58) also competed but did not factor into the team total.
On Saturday, the Indians placed 16th out of 18 teams in the Jordan Moeller Invitational at Mercer County Elks Golf Club. Botkins shot 307 for the team championship. St. Marys (328) was the runner-up while Russia (330) was third. The Indians shot 381.
LeFevre led the Indians by shooting an 88. Cole Muhlenkamp ended with 92 and Kunkler carded 96. Carson Siefring completed the team score with his 105.
Reece Evers also competed, but his 113 did not factor into the team total.

The Patriots have back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Jay County’s volleyball team swept the Blackford Bruins on Monday 25-11, 25-19, 25-21.
It marks consecutive wins for the Patriots (6-7), who knocked off Adams Central on Sept. 14.
Madison Dirksen had team highs in service points (18), kills (12), aces (eight) and blocks (two). Kylie Klopfenstein was second with six kills, while Madison Brunswick and Bella Denton had four kills each.
Brenna Haines led the defense with 12 digs, and Ralyn Chaffins collected nine digs.
Jay County’s junior varsity team won, 25-11, 25-19. Sophie Saxman led the team with 13 points, three kills and eight aces. Meredith Dirksen ended with eight points, five aces and three kills.
Eagles sweep Patriots
Jay County Junior High School’s seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams both fell to the Delta Eagles on Monday.
The eighth graders fell 25-17, 25-17, and the seventh grade team suffered a 25-23, 25-13 loss.
Lani Muhlenkamp led the eighth grade team with nine service points. She also had three aces and two assists. Lilly Johnson added eight points and a team-high four aces, while Liz Barnett had four points.
Morgan Missicano had eight points to lead the seventh graders. Carley Trinidad chipped in six points while totaling a team-high three kills. Ella Rigby contributed two points, two assists and a kill.
