Seniors will have the chance to learn about the Holy Land.
Southside Church of Christ’s monthly Keen Agers program at 10 a.m. Tuesday will feature Dan Cooper sharing the presentation “What you will experience of you visit the Holy Lands.”
Cooper, who lives in Sewell, New Jersey, holds two degrees from Harding University. He enjoys teaching Bible studies.
The church is located at 1209 S. Shank St., Portland.

Evangelical Methodist Church will host a Kids Friday Fun Night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in its fellowship hall.
The event will include devotions, games, songs and refreshments.

Ready to celebrate
Arts Place recently announced dates and some details about its plans to celebrate its renovation and expansion project.
The arts organization will host an invitation-only dedication celebration at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place on Oct. 9. It will feature a performance by Heartland Singers.
Two events are set for the following weekend, with an opening reception and awards night for Art’s Place’s Biodiversity/Cultural Diversity Juried Art Show on Oct. 15. And an open house featuring tours, demonstrations and exhibits is slated for Oct. 16.
