Beverly Bennett, age 93, of Portland passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, in The Waters of Dunkirk.
She was born in Fort Wayne on June 13, 1929, the daughter of Harter and Esther (Neher) Hutchens. She was married to Merrill Bennett, and he preceded her in death.
Beverly was the owner of two wholesale/retail businesses, Imperial Art and Unique Jewelry. She was a member of the Morman Church, Cincinnatus League and, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, and was a 1947 Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are two daughters, Tamra Case of Portland and Vicki Wallace of Portland; one sister, Diane Peterson of Roscoe, Illinois; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
