EverHeart camp scheduled for July
Taking Note
Camp Encourage is right around the corner.
The two-day bereavement camp organized by EverHeart Hospice is set for July 7 and July 8. It’s intended for children ages 6 to 15 who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
The camp is open to any child in the community at no cost, and it’s filled with hands-on activities, team building, and adventures related to grief and coping skills, according to a press release from the organization. It will be held at Montezuma Spiritual Center, 6731 State Route 219, Montezuma, Ohio, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. both days. EverHeart Hospice is also looking for volunteers to help with the camp.
Registration for both campers and volunteers is May 15. To apply, visit everhearthospice.org. Contact [email protected] or (800) 417-7535 for more information.
Juried show
It’s not too late to see Minnetrista’s Annual Juried Art Show, which closes Sunday. This year’s showcase of Indiana’s artists was selected by juror Shaun Thomas Dingwerth, executive director at Richmond Art Museum.
Featured annually are a variety of mediums, including painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography and textiles.
The show runs through April 16.
