The Drug Enforcement Administration is sponsoring its annual Prescription Drug Take Back initiative. Indiana State Police are partnering with the DEA this weekend, setting up collection sites for expired, unused or unwanted prescription liquid or pill medications that will be properly disposed at no cost. Vaping pens without batteries and vaping cartridges will also be taken.
Medications may be dropped off at any Indiana State Police post excluding Lowell and Toll Road posts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Those include the Fort Wayne post, 5811 Ellison Road, the Pendleton post, 9022 S. Indiana 67, and the Peru post, 1451 N. Eel River Cemetery Road.
