Chad Iliff, age 50, of Portland, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Signature Healthcare in Muncie.

He was born in Hartford City, Indiana, on Dec. 12, 1972, the son of Phillip and Rose (Ludy) Iliff. He was married on March 5, 1994, to Teresa Resler who survives.

Chad worked for Cooper Foods in St. Henry, Ohio, member of First Church of the Nazarene in Portland and a 1991 Jay County High School graduate. Chad loved watching sports, was an Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Reds fan and was the “Fun Uncle.” He loved making people laugh and was known as the Happy Birthday Song Man. 

Surviving are his wife Teresa: parents Phillip and Rose Iliff of Portland; two brothers, Troy Iliff (wife: Sandy) of Portland and Shawn Iliff (wife: Jessica) of Ocean Shores, Washington; one sister, Stacie Moyer (husband: Nate) of Bluffton; 15 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug, 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Cecil presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home and Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
