Kent Jenkins

Kent Jenkins, age 66, a resident of Portland, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kent was born on Dec. 15, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Thurlo and Barbara (VanNote) Jenkins. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked at EPC Graphics in Geneva and worked as a truck driver.

His children — Majenica Moles (husband: Russell), Redkey, Indiana, Kent Jenkins Jr. (wife: Tiffany), Portland, Indiana, Brittany Burkitt, Shelbyville, Indiana, Stacey Young (husband: Bobby), Winchester, Indiana, Katy Dreifke, Stowe, Pennsylvania, and Laura Dreifke, Pottstown, Pennsylvania 

Three brothers — Ricky Jenkins, Portland, Indiana, William Jenkins, Portland, Indiana, Stephen Jenkins (wife: Karen), Portland, Indiana 

One sister — Susan Arnold, Huntington, Indiana 

Grandchildren — Dustin Moles, Austin Moles, Adayln Shipman, Alejandro España, Ryder Burkitt, Monroe Burkitt, Gemma Burkitt, Westyn Keener, Saven Young and Ashlee Young.

Several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his companion Snoop. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #211 of Portland.
