Wet road
Rainy conditions and wet road surfaces led to two crashes Monday.
Jordan L. Maitlen, 25, Portland, was driving north on Indiana 67 about 10:58 a.m. Monday when he lost control of his 2007 Mercury Milan, causing him to spin into the ditch. His car landed on its top. His vehicle was towed, with damage estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
Andrew J. Lessing, 34, Portland, was driving north on U.S. 27 near county road 200 North about 3:20 p.m. Monday when his 2005 Chrysler Pacifica began to spin and went into a ditch. His passenger, 41-year-old Hillary A. Lessing of Portland, complained of chest pain. Lessing’s vehicle was towed, with damage estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
