Marjorie Marie Baldwin, age 77, of Portland passed away June 2, 2023.
Marjorie was born on June 12, 1945, in Winchester, Indiana, to Blair and Louise Skinner. Marjorie married Marvin D. Baldwin on June 29, 1963, who survives her. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this year.
Also surviving are her three daughters, Michelle Baldwin, Mindy (Darold) Eason and Melody (Kevin) Zimmerman, all of Portland; eight grandchildren, Ethan Gonser, Kodak, Tennessee, Erika (Kyle) Frazee, Nathanael (Cheri) Eason, Kaitlin Eason, and Melana and Kaylee Zimmerman, all of Portland; eight great-grandchildren, Aiden Gonser, Eivan, Kyla and Kaden Frazee, and Maya, Hailey, Melissa and Knox Eason; sisters-in-law, Connie Skinner, Lois Skinner, Karen Baldwin, Marilyn Baldwin and Edie Metcalfe; stepbrothers Wayne (Janet) Metcalfe, Nelson (Marta) Metcalfe and Steve (Debbie) Metcalfe; brother-in-law Orla (Linda) Baldwin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws Lawrence and Thelma Baldwin; her stepfather Herbert Metcalfe; her brothers David and Jerry Skinner; her stepbrother Phil Metcalfe; her brothers-in-law Guy and Keith Baldwin; and a great-grandson, Damien Gonser.
Marjorie was a housewife and drove a school bus for Jay School Corporation for over 35 years. She also sold Avon for many years.
Marjorie and Marvin attended the Winchester Nazarene Church and served as Sunday School teachers and youth leaders. When they moved to Portland in 1976, they attended Portland Church of the Nazarene and she served as Sunday School teachers and youth leaders.
She attended Randolph Friends Church in rural Ridgeville, Indiana. She graduated from Driver High School in Randolph County.
Marjorie enjoyed her flowers and spending time with family and friends, and loved wintering in Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Randolph Friends Church, 6531 N. 300 West, Ridgeville, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, at 10 a.m. at Randolph Friends Church with Pastors Jonathon Edwards and Charlie Stalker presiding. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Memorials may be directed to Randolph Friends Church in Ridgeville.
