Robert “Bobby” Dillie, age 51, Dunkirk, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Bobby was born on Jan. 23, 1972, in Anderson, Indiana, the son of Nancy Patton. He was raised by Vern and Maxine Dillie.
Bobby graduated from Jay County High School in 1990 and earned a certificate from IVY Tech in auto body and paint. He worked for E&T Tree and Landscape. Bobby enjoyed working in auto body and paint. His passion was to restore cars. He enjoyed ’80s rock and singing karaoke. He never met a stranger and enjoyed making everyone he met laugh.
Bobby married Arrowana Cline in 2017.

His children — Brandon Keith Resler (wife: Katelyn), Portland, Indiana, and Arralina Breisch (husband: Anthony), Portland, Indiana
Grandmother — Grace Shipley, Anderson, Indiana
Brother — Bill Dillie, Flint, Michigan
Grandchildren — Bralyn and Rockie Resler
Bonus children — Dylan Bowler, Deryk Bowler, Jordan Coons, Damian Resler and Gabriella Breisch
Honorary father — Jim Bergdoll, Dunkirk, Indiana
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Paul VanCise will officiate and burial will follow at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Because of Bobby’s love for cars, the family requests you dress in car show attire.
Memorials may be directed towards Jay County Cancer Society or Jay County Humane Society.
