Michael L. Roser, age 66, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his grandson’s home in Portland.
Michael was born on May 19, 1956, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Albert and Christine (Smith) Roser. He retired from the Union City Body Company and was a member of the Son of the American Legion in Portland and the Portland Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include:
One daughter — Michelle “Shelly” Roser, Portland, Indiana
Siblings — Reggie Roser (Ricky), Muncie, Indiana, Eddie Roser, Portland, Indiana, and Chris Roser (Tonya), Portland, Indiana
Grandchildren — Michael Brown (Melissa), Christine Brown and Summer Brown
Great-grandchildren — Miley, Corbin, Addi, Reign, Raylynn, Madison, Liam and Ramsey
Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Christine Roser; his daughter and son-in-law Melissa “Missy” and Brian Brown; and brothers Harry Jr., Rick, Kenneth and Joseph Roser.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Jellison will officiate and burial will follow at a later date in Antioch Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed towards Jay County Special Olympics or EverHeart Hospice.
