Kenneth E. Knotts, 80, of Bryant, Indiana, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home in Bryant, Indiana.
He was born on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1942, in Pennville, Indiana. He married Judith Ann (McDaniels) Knotts on Friday, May 3, 1963, in Montpelier, Indiana.
Kenneth was a 1960 graduate of Pennville High School. He was a Penn Township, Jay County, farmer and retired after 43 years of service from Franklin Electric. Kenneth was a member of the NRA and the Jay Community Center. He was an avid ping pong player and passionate model railroad enthusiast, and enjoyed restoring and driving his classic cars and raising Polled Herefords and cattle.
He will be missed by his wife Judith Ann (McDaniels) Knotts, Bryant, Indiana, daughter Rhonda (Charles) McClain, Bryant, Indiana; daughter Susan (companion: Jim Ninde) Knotts, Portland, Indiana; grandchild Nathan McClain, Pennville, Indiana; grandchild Charles C. (Brea) McClain, Pennville, Indiana; grandchild Nicholas (Emily) Ellis, Pennville, Indiana; grandchild Justin (Lindsay) Ellis, Portland, Indiana; grandchild Talir (Tyler Ray) Ellis, Portland, Indiana; and great-grandchildren Jaylen, Onan, Ali, Miles, Benelli and Rhiot.
He was preceded in death by his father V. Eugene Knotts; mother Phyllis June (Thornton) Knotts; and sister Diana Stotlar.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 2 to 7 p.m.
A service to celebrate his life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, with Charles C. McClain officiating.
