Probation violation
A Ridgeville woman was arrested Saturday for violating her probation.
Diamond J. Hudson, 30, 208 W. Fourth St., pleaded guilty February 2022 to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. At that time, she was sentenced to 545 days in Jay County Jail with all but 180 days suspended and given 180 days credit for time served, and she was placed on probation for one year. A petition alleging she violated the conditions of her probation was filed Sept. 5.
She was being held in Jay County Jail without bond.
Domestic battery
A Portland man was arrested Saturday for domestic battery.
Joshua A. Bonifas, 37, 1661 W. 650 South, was preliminarily charged with a Level 5 felony.
He was being held on a $10,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
Drug possession
A Pennville woman was arrested Monday for drug possession.
Alyssia N. Large, 35, 290 E. Second St., was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia.
She’s being held on a $4,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
