Treadesa Jackson

Treadesa “Trudy” M. Jackson, age 83, a resident of Portland, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Albany, Indiana. 

Trudy was born on May 3, 1940, in Farmland, Indiana, the daughter of Worley and Lillie (Foster) Murphy. Trudy retired from CTS in Berne, Indiana.

Trudy married Larry Jackson on June 29, 1968. 

Survivors include: 

Her husband — Larry Jackson, Portland, Indiana

Son — Loren Jackson, Muncie, Indiana

Daughter — Deb Crump, Portland, Indiana

Brother: — Emmett Murphy, Celina, Ohio

Two sisters — Dorthy Fenton, Ohio, and Ireda “Sue” Mullins 

Grandchildren — Katelyn Crump, Evan Jackson and Cassandra Jackson

Great-grandchildren — Marlea Crump and Mason Rittenhouse

She was preceded in death by three brothers, James “Jimmy” Murphy, Leroy Murphy and Billy Murphy; and three sisters, Patsy Sommer, Karen Smith and Neva “Toots” Miltroka-Roy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Liber Cemetery, south of Portland.
