Tax bills coming

Tax bills for Jay County residents were sent out this week and residents should be seeing them soon.

All tax statements are being printed on white paper this year instead of the typical blue, pink and yellow. The change was mandated by the state.

Tax bills can be paid in the treasurer’s office at Jay County Courthouse during regular hours — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They can also be paid online (jaycounty.net), via the drop box on the south side of the courthouse or at First Bank of Berne or Farmer’s and Merchants Bank.

Due dates this year are May 10 and Nov. 12.
