Loretta Martin

Loretta (Morgan) Martin, age 84, Albany, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. 

Born in Bluffton on March 15, 1940, she grew up in the Geneva area and graduated from high school in Adams County. Loretta was a homemaker and home health aid. Over the years she enjoyed tropical fish and at one time had several fish tanks at home. She also enjoyed doing macrame.

Survivors include sons Terry Cox (Brenda), Portland, and Mike Smith (Susan), Bluffton; her daughter Debra Dahlstrom, Albany; grandchildren Donna Valentine (Madison), Portland, Andrew Smith (Jamie), Muncie, Triston Cox and David Mays (Tiffany), Redkey; and great-grandchildren Nick and Emily.

She is preceded in death by her son Gary Smith, who died in 2023; and parents Samuel and Flossie Morgan.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Meacham Funeral Service. Burial will take place at Alberson Cemetery, west of Geneva.

Visiting hours are Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
