Lost control
An Albany man lost control of his vehicle along county road 275 South and drove off the road about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Rodney Welsh, 58, was driving his 2001 Lincoln Continental west on the road near its intersection with U.S. 27 when he approached a curve in the road. Welsh lost control on the wet surface and drove off the road. His vehicle was towed, with damage between $2,500 and $5,000.
Intersection crash
Damage is estimated between $25,000 and $50,000 after a Portland woman turned in front of an Ohio truck driver on Meridian Street, causing an accident about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Patricia E. Timmons, 66, was driving her 2013 Chevrolet Equinox west on Votaw Street when she began to turn south on its intersection with Meridian Street. At the same time, 43-year-old Chad M. Seger of Minster was driving his 1997 Freightliner truck north through the intersection. Seger wasn’t able to avoid colliding with Timmons’ vehicle.
