Randy Lee Tinch, age 65, of Portland, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Winchester, Indiana, on April 18, 1959, the son of Dorman Tinch and Frances Hipshire. He was married in 2003 to Lisa Kegerreis who survives.
Randy served in the U.S. Army and was a disabled American veteran. He attended the First Church of Christ and was a staunch Donald Trump supporter. He was a loving and dedicated husband and grandfather. He had been a Portland resident for 21 years and loved being outdoors in the sun.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 21 years Lisa; two children, Garry Horner (wife: Christina) of Redkey and Deborah Petty (husband: Jonathan Walser) of Portland; grandchildren Colin Horner, Nevaeh Petty, Lillian Stephen and Kwynton Walser; two brothers, Rex Tinch and Larry Schell; and sister Connie Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Smith.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2024, at 5 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Flint Redwine presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.
