Ronald Twigg

Ronald Duane Twigg, age 79, of Portland passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at his residence. 

He was born in Jay County on Dec. 8, 1944, the son of Roscoe and Rozella Irene (Worth) Twigg. He was married on Nov. 22, 1969, to Barbara Gaston who survives. He was a 1962 Bryant High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of Arch Bridge Kroozers and Asbury United Methodist Church. Ron had worked for Hardy Chevrolet and Arm’s Auto Body.

Surviving are his wife Barbara; one daughter, Angela Twigg of Portland; two brothers, Fred Twigg (wife: Elaine) of Ohio and Rick Twigg of Portland; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his dogs Isabella and Benjie. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Twigg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Boggs presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.
