King crash

A Portland woman drove into Burger King’s building about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Vickie Bragg, 75, was attempting to drive her 2014 Buick Encore into a parking space in the parking lot at 1610 N. Meridian St. She told police she accidentally pressed on the accelerator pedal instead of the brake, causing her car to drive over the curb and into the side of the building next to the north-facing door.

Damage is estimated between $10,000 and $25,000. Bragg’s vehicle was towed.
