Bryant gets grant
Bryant Volunteer Fire Department was among the more than 100 rural and volunteer fire departments announced Wednesday as recipients of Volunteer Fire Assistance grants from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR grants in total came to more than $454,000.
Bryant was awarded $5,000 to help pay for water handling equipment and training.
Grants were available to fund training or purchase necessary firefighting equipment and gear to combat wildland fires.
