Aaron Darr

Aaron Michael “Speedy” Darr, age 42, of Portland passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, in Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana, after having a seizure. 

He was born in Bluffton, Indiana, on Nov. 28, 1981, the son of Loren Rick Denney and Wanda Darr. He had worked for MSSL in Portland. He enjoyed the outdoors, music, family and doing construction work.

Surviving are his father Rick Denney of Mitchell, Indiana; his mother Wanda Darr (husband: Earl) of Dunkirk; one son, Zane Darr of Dunkirk; companion Melissa Ausland of Portland; three brothers, David Denney of Columbia, Kentucky, Brandon Denney of Portland and Josh Darr of Dunkirk; four sisters, Carisa Coffman of Ridgeville, Harlonda Denney of Glasgow, Kentucky, Courtney Darr and Sarah Denney of Redkey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jon Jon Darr.

There will be no funeral services.

Arrangements are being handled by Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.
