Evelyn Dunmoyer

Evelyn D. Dunmoyer, age 97, of Portland passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Swiss Village in Berne. 

She was born in Winston, Kentucky, on Sept. 2, 1926, the daughter of John Walker and Ida Belle (Johnson) White. She was married on Aug. 9, 1944, to Ervil Dunmoyer and he passed away on Dec. 15, 2011. 

Evelyn had worked for Ballastran, Naas Foods, CTS and Standard Brush and Broom. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Rebekkah Lodge, React, Home Ec Club and Prime Time.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Mayfield of Fort Wayne; and two step-granddaughters Marcia and Teresa.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Dunmoyer and James Dunmoyer; and her siblings.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m.
