Free Portland concert series begins tonight
Arts Place’s first free concert of the summer is tonight.
“Phil Dirt & The Dozers” will perform at 8 p.m. today at Hudson Family Park amphitheatre in Portland. The group’s classic rock and roll music transports listeners to another time and place, reminiscing vocal harmonies of the Beach Boys, Four Seasons, The Eagles and more.
Payne’s Food Truck and Mrs. P’s Kitchen, as well as activities for children, will also be available at Hudson Family Park during the show, which is a part of the 2024 concert series at Hudson Family Park Amphitheatre. Other concerts slated for this summer include: Whoa, Man! Band — it will celebrate women in rock and roll music — at 8 p.m. July 18, Liverpool Lads: A Beatles Tribute at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 and Sounds of Summer: Beach Boys Tribute at 7 p.m. Sept. 12.
All concerts are free. To learn more, contact Arts Place by calling (260) 726-4809 or emailing [email protected].
In related news, requests for performance submission forms are live for the 2025 Hudson Family Park Amphitheatre concert series. Those interested may visit myartsplace.org/performances/jay-county-campus-performances to fill out a form. The deadline for consideration is July 1.
