Felony arrests - Wednesday, March 27, 2024
Intimidation
A Portland resident was arrested Monday for intimidation and other charges.
Caleb M. Schlechty, 18, 1015 W. Main St., was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for intimidation, three Class A misdemeanors for disorderly conduct, battery against a public safety official and possession of stolen property, and two Class B misdemeanors for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Schlechty was being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
Resisting law
A Dunkirk woman was arrested Sunday for resisting law enforcement.
Samantha R. Lanum, 26, 207 S. Main St., is charged in Jay Superior Court with a Level 6 felony for resisting police, a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia.
She was being held in Jay County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
Drug possession
A Dunkirk woman was arrested Sunday for possession of methamphetamine.
Tanna Clark, 45, is charged in Jay Superior Court with a Level 6 felony for the alleged crime, as well as a Level 6 felony for possession of paraphernalia.
She was being held in Jay County Jail on a $4,000 bond.
Failed to appear
A Salamonia man was arrested Monday for failing to appear in court.
Seth N. Mills, 27, 5739 E. 400 South, is charged in Jay Superior Court with a Level 6 felony for domestic battery. He failed to appear for a change of plea hearing March 19. Mills was being held without bond in Jay County Jail.
