Hit pole

An Ossian woman hit a utility pole along county road 300 North in Jay County about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Hali N. Heath, 32, was driving a 2007 Ford E-350 east when she drove off the south side of the road and hit a pole. She told police there was ice on her vehicle’s windshield, making her unable to see the road. The pole wasn’t damaged. according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report. The vehicle Heath was driving was towed, with damage estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.
