Hilgefords celebrate 70 years of marriage
Martha and Arnold Hilgeford of Portland are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary next week.
Arnold Hilgeford married Martha Muhlenkamp on May 8, 1954, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bryant.
They have eight children — the late Dan Hilgeford (wife Linda), Deb Barnett (husband Steve), Linda Huelskamp (husband Gregg), Betty Strawn (husband Dennis), the late Randy Hilgeford, Donna Chenoweth (husband Dennis), John Hilgeford and Peg Starr (fiancé Steve Pollard). They also have 33 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.
The Hilgefords will celebrate with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the activity room at Briarwood Nursing Home, 100 Don Desch Drive, Coldwater, Ohio.
