Larry Weaver
Larry Joe Weaver went home to Heaven on April 30, 2024.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1945 in Muncie, Indiana. He was a 1963 graduate of Selma High School. He joined the Marines and served in Vietnam. He married Pamela Haffner from Portland, Indiana, in August 1970. He worked at Createc for 40 years.
In 2022, he and his wife moved to Roann, Indiana, to be closer to family. He enjoyed a fulfilling life of husband, father and grandfather of seven grandchildren. He was always a farmer at heart and enjoyed actively participating in daily farm activities at his son and daughter-in-law’s dairy.
Last summer, he volunteered at the Stockage Mill in Roann and served as a guide. He was always willing to offer a helping hand, lend a listening ear and be actively present in his grandchildrens’ lives.
He was preceded in death by daughter Sally Weaver.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Weaver; son Phillip Weaver; daughter-in-law Amy Weaver; daughter Sara Keith; son-in-law Paul Keith; grandchildren Alaina, Jordan, Alex and Jessee Weaver, and Cameron, Connor and Kaitlyn Keith; brothers Tom and Johnny Weaver; and brother-in-law Craig A. Haffner.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Akron Community Center at 815 Rural St. in Akron, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sally Weaver Scholarship Fund at Lynn Veterinary Hospital in Lynn, Indiana, or Stockade Mill, c/o Ronnie McColley in Roann, Indiana.
