Probation violation
Two Indiana residents were arrested Friday for violating probation.
Holly M. De Morrow, 39, 310 E. South St., Pennville, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony. De Morrow was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 60 days suspended and given 60 days credit for time served. A petition alleging she violated the conditions of her probation was filed in court April 29.
Cassandra L. Odom, 40, 455 West Windsor St., Montpelier, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. As part of her plea agreement, a Level 6 felony charge for possession of methamphetamine, a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia were dismissed. She was sentenced to 910 days in Indiana Department of Correction with all but 545 days suspended and given 14 days credit for time served. Odom was assessed $185 in court costs and ordered to submit to an evaluation for substance abuse counseling. A petition alleging she violated the conditions of her probation was filed in court March 27.
