Lost control
Damage is estimated between $10,000 and $25,000 after a Portland teen fell asleep while driving on Indiana 1, causing him to crash about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Creed A. Beiswanger, 16, was driving his 2005 Ford F-350 south on the highway near county road 650 North when he fell asleep, according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report. He woke up after striking a utility pole with his vehicle.
Creed showed no visible injuries or signs of impairment. His vehicle was towed.
