Turning accident

A Winchester teen turned into oncoming traffic at the intersection of Meridian Street and Industrial Drive about 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Jaiden M. Roberts, 17, was driving a 2008 Ford Escape and turned out of a parking lot. She told police she didn’t see the southbound 2007 Dodge Charger driven by 22-year-old Hunter Chapman of Portland on Meridian Street. The Escape collided with the Charger.

Damage is estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
