Possession
Several people were arrested Saturday for drug-related charges.
Josh Bennett, 46, 1146 Indiana 1, Pennville, was preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a syringe, a Class A misdemeanor for visiting a common nuisance and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. He was being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
Nathaniel K. Cox, 33, 516 N. Meridian St., Redkey, was preliminarily charged with three Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug and unlawful possession of a syringe, a Class A misdemeanor for maintaining a common nuisance and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. He was being held in Jay County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
Jamie Hornbaker, 42, 234 N. Oak St., Redkey, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for unlawful possession of a syringe and a Class A misdemeanor for visiting a common nuisance. She was being held on a $4,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
Danielle L. Ingram, 21, 548 N. Charles St., Portland, was preliminarily charged with five Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. Ingram was being held in Jay County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
Tharl H. Pinkston II, 35, 511 W. McDonald St., Hartford City, was preliminarily charged with three Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug and unlawful possession of a syringe and a Class A misdemeanor for visiting a common nuisance. Pinkston was being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
Emili A. Smith, 24, 727 Moon Road, Plainfield, was preliminarily charged with three Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, and maintaining a common nuisance, two Level 6 felonies for two counts of unlawful possession of a syringe and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia.
Smith pleaded guilty in November 2023 to possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, and she was sentenced in Jay Superior Court to one year in Jay County Jail with 305 days suspended and given 60 days credit. In May, a petition was filed in court alleging she violated the conditions of her probation. Smith was being held in Jay County Jail on $10,250 in bonds.
Methamphetamine
Three people were arrested recently for possession of methamphetamine.
Chelsea L. Burns, 32, 260 E. Second St., Pennville, was preliminarily charged with a Level 5 felony for possession of methamphetamine and a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. Burns was being held in Jay County Jail on a $4,000 bond.
Dylan M. McKibben, 29, 111 E. Rick Drive, Dunkirk, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine and a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. He was being held without bond in Jay County Jail.
David A. Green, 56, 335 E. Main St., Greenville, Ohio, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine. He was released on an $850 bond.
