Winterfest kicks off with events at Arts Place, courthouse
A busy weekend of holiday events kicked off Friday evening with Christmas at the Courthouse and the Arts Place Holiday Benefit Auction. Pictured above, Diane Coldren of Portland laughs while chatting with her husband John as he was bidding during the auction in Goodrich Hall on the Jay County Campus of Arts Place. Additional events this weekend include the Little Miss Winterfest pageant at 2 p.m. today at Fellowship Baptist Church and the Parade of Lights at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Portland. Dunkirk will launch its season of celebration with Feel the Warmth of Christmas on Monday evening in the downtown area, with Santa slated to arrive at 5:30 p.m. (The Commercial Review/Bailey Cline)
