Gallery hosting pouring workshop

The Anna Bier Gallery of Greenville, Ohio, will host a paint pouring workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The event in the Anna Bier Art Gallery inside St. Clair Memorial Hall will cover paint pouring, a contemporary technique that allows participants to create abstract designs by pouring and manipulating acrylic paints on canvas. The workshop will teach the basics of the technique, including mixing paints and pouring methods.

The workshop is open to anyone 14 and older. Pre-registration is required. The fee is $30.

Hartford City’s Civil War Days is scheduled for Oct. 4 through 6.

The event includes demonstrations and presentations about the Civil War era, specifically 1864. There will be reenactments of battles from the 1864 campaign around Atlanta.

The event will also feature merchants, weavers, blacksmiths, spinners and others.

Admission will be $5 on Friday, Oct. 4, and $7 on Oct. 5 and 6. Children 5 and younger are admitted free.

Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland and The Oak Ridge Boys have been added to the upcoming lineup for Emens Auditorium at Ball State University.

Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, with The Oak Ridge Boys’ American Made Christmas Farewell Tour set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
