Betty Mae Wilson, age 85, of Ridgeville passed away on Sunday evening, Sept. 8, 2024, at IU Health Jay in Portland.
She was born in Randolph County on Aug. 19, 1939, to Merritt and Marjorie O. (Thomas) Fields. She graduated from Gov. I.P. Gray High School in 1957. She married Lloyd L. Wilson in 1957 and he passed away in 2000. Betty was retired from Randolph Central School Corporation as a bus driver for 31 years.
Surviving is a daughter, Lisa M. Davis (husband: Jeff) of Albany; a son, Lloyd L. Wilson II (special friend: Beckie Schafer) of Ridgeville; four grandchildren, Dusty Bowlan of Ridgeville, Kortney Bowlan (wife: Sandy) of Dunkirk, Cody Bowlan of Albany and Shane Bowlan of Albany; three great-grandchildren, Coltin Bowlan, Kenaan Bowlan and Kathryn Bowlan; three sisters, Beverly Nuckols (Mack), Berniece Upp (Bill) and Bonnie Jones (Kenneth); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; sister Barbara Dull; brothers Brian Eugene Fields and Duane Fields; son-in-law Gary Vore; daughter-in-law Jana Wilson; and brother-in-law Mack Nuckols.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon Taylor presiding. Burial will follow in the Weimer Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
