Laundry room fire

Firefighters put out a small blaze in a laundry room Friday.

Dunkirk Fire Department responded to Diana Bear’s house at 216 E. Commerce St. for a fire about 8 a.m. Friday. The fire was contained to a bookshelf in the laundry room and caused smoke throughout the house. Two firetrucks and 10 firefighters arrived on scene, putting out the fire in about five minutes.
