The Tribe broke the 200 mark seven times in 2024.
This year, they flirted with the 100s nearly each time out, but finally hit the target when the Starfires came to town.
Fort Recovery High School’s girls golf team posted a sub-200 score on Tuesday and remained undefeated by beating the South Adams Starfires 199-212 at Portland Golf Club.
Olivia Knapke picked up her third match-medalist title of the year by posting a 46. South Adams’ best score, which claimed fourth place overall, came from Sophia Orr at 51 strokes.
Mallory Evers was the only other golfer to break 50. She carded a 49 to keep the Indians (3-0) on pace to stay under 200 strokes.
Evvie Briner shot her best round of the season, finishing with 50 strokes, just four off her career best.
Georgia Wenning rounded out the team score with a 54.
Liza Knapke made her debut, but her 62 finished outside of the top five scores and was not used.
Emily Boeckman improved upon her opening day score by two strokes with a 64 that didn’t play into the final.
