Drug possession
A Dunkirk man was arrested Monday for drug possession.
Michael K. Atkins, 33, 4880 S. Arlington Ave., was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug.
He was released on a $4,500 bond from Jay County Jail.
Domestic battery
A Portland man was arrested Sunday for domestic battery.
Joshua L. Gilbert, 30, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for the alleged crime, as well as a Class A misdemeanor for strangulation.
He was being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
