Fisher’s accident

A Muncie woman struck a parked vehicle in the Fisher Meats parking lot in Portland at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Jenna Scott, 41, was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado north in the alley west of Fisher Meats, 300 W. Walnut St., when she overcorrected and sideswiped a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu occupied by 17-year-old Lauren Fisher of Bryant.

Damage is estimated between $2,500 and $5,000. The truck Scott was driving is registered to GC Transport of Gaston.

Alley crash

A Portland woman crashed into another Portland woman’s vehicle as she was turning onto Arch Street about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Ana M. Reyes Lopez, 57, was driving a 2016 Kia Sorento in an alley when she began to turn onto Arch Street. She struck an oncoming 1988 Volvo 760 Series driven by 72-year-old Stephen Jenkins.

The vehicle Reyes Lopez was driving was towed. Damage is estimated between $1,000 0and $2,500.
