Lost control
Three people complained of pain after an Indianapolis man lost control of his vehicle and crashed it along Indiana 67 about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Claubert Declare, 36, was driving a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee northeast on the highway when he approached a curve in the road. Declare lost control of his car, causing him to drive through the intersection with county road 125 South. His vehicle was airborne, according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report, and crashed into a field northeast of the highway.
Declare complained of leg and back pain. His passengers, 38-year-old Emmanuel Justin of Indianapolis and 32-year-old Joseph Judeline of Kissimmee, Florida, both complained of back pain. Declare and Justin were transported to IU Health Jay for their injuries.
Declare’s vehicle was towed, with damage estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
