Auto theft
A Portland woman was sentenced to jail for auto theft.
Desiree N. Walker, 31, 1237 N. U.S. 27, Portland, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to auto theft, a Level 6 felony.
She was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 180 days suspended and given 166 days credit for time served.
Walker was fined $1, assessed $189 in court costs and placed on probation for 185 days.
Unlawful possession
A Ridgeville woman was sentenced to time in jail for possessing a syringe.
Emili A. Smith, 25, 112 W. Third St., Ridgeville, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony.
Smith was sentenced to 180 days in Jay County Jail and given 180 days credit for time served.
She was assessed $189 in court costs.
